St. Patrick's Day!

We had a really fun St. Patrick's Day!

We started the day off with the green waffles I make for St. Patrick's Day!

Ayla!

Ashlyn!

This is what Ayla wore to school!

I made some green cookies that evening!

Ayla eating her cookie!

This was Ethan's green he wore that day! I love the dragon! Also this was his first holiday!

And of course we did the pot of gold hunt!

Happy Ayla, finding the pot of gold!

Then the girl's opened their gold!

This was what they got!!
They were happy!

Here is one of them both looking up!

We had a great St. Patrick's Day!

Ethan

Ethan was born on March the 4th 2014!

Here is a very condensed version of his story.

During the evening of Monday the 3rd, I had Melissa over at our house to help her make roseballs for her wedding. I started to have contractions around 7:40 p.m. I thought they would stop because I had mild contractions off and on all week. They started the day after the birthday parties. Well the contractions did not stop. I even tried to lay down. They started to get 5 to 6 minutes apart but I still was wondering if I needed to go to the hospital because my body has a very hard time going into labor. I always have a ton of contractions and no results. After a while I decided to head to the hospital just to be safe. On the way to the hospital, the contractions got a little more intense and 3 minutes apart. We got to the hospital around midnight. They checked me and they told me I wasn't that much more dilated as I was at my last doctor's visit. I had only gained a half of a center meter so I was 3 plus and still very thick. They had me sit in the bed for an hour to see if I would progress. They came in and said I was close to 4, so then they had me walk for an hour. That was when the contractions became 2 minutes apart and I could feel them in my back and tale bone, ouch!!! They then checked me again and I was only 4 plus, so they called the doctor. She told them to keep me, to give me my epidural and to put me on Pitocin. As time went on, they noticed that Ethan was coming out the wrong way. He was face first! Not sunny side up but face first! Something that doesn't happen very often. So because he was face first and my body doesn't progress very well with labor, that is why I wasn't dilated very fast. I should have had more results with it being my third child. It was harder for my body to thin because it wasn't his crown pushing, it was his soft face. Anyway, they had broke my water sometime after my epidural and right after that, they had a hard time keeping his heart rate up. It was a little scary for me but I was grateful for the nurse I had. She knew immediately what to do, she started put oxygen on my face and started turning me onto my stomach. This made me feel nerves but I felt like I was in good hands because of how fast she reacted. This happened a few times, where I had to turn on my stomach alternating each side. I spent the rest of the time on my stomach until it was time to push.

He then was born at 11:53 a.m.! Yes, folks I didn't sleep at all that night!

He weighed 7.5!

He was 21 inches long!

He was pretty swollen the poor guy!
It actually added an inch to his height because a few days later he measured 20 inches. He had a rough time coming out!

My Mom and Ayla were up at the hospital out in the hall when he was born!
Ashlyn was watched by my sister-in-law, Suz!

And of course Ayla was one of the first to hold him!
We did the same thing with Ashlyn!

She was in heaven that day!

She actually held him a lot that day and would sing to him! She loves being an older sister!

This was my nurse, Monica!
She was my nurse last time I was at LDS hospital when I had Ashlyn! The cool thing is I had Ethan in the same room I had Ashlyn in!

Kurt's first time really holding him, after we let Ayla!

This was my awesome nurse, Rachel that took great care of me and Ethan during the labor and delivery! I totally bonded with her! I loved her!

And here is Ethan!
Not as swollen!

My friend, Amy was my nurse again too!

Melissa's first time holding him!
It was sweet she started to cry a little bit! I love Melissa!

We were only at the hospital for a day, so we didn't have very many visitors. My sister, Marion came up and I can't believe I didn't get a picture of the first time she held him. Also I wanted a picture of my Mom holding him for the first time but she would not let me.

My Dad came after work the day after we got home. This was his first time holding him!

My sister came over the next day and took pictures of me giving him his first bath at home!

Ashlyn was so sweet leaning against me while I bathed him!

Of course he was not happy!

I love screaming pictures!

Ayla was helping!

Like I said, I love screaming pictures! He looks so cute!!!

He was a lot happier once he was dressed!

Had to get a picture of his darling feet!

Here is a picture of Marion holding him! Not the first time though.

Ayla holding him!
He looks like he is smiling at her!

Such a sweet moment!

I love how they are looking at each other!

Having Ethan home has been a blessing and quite the adjustment!

I am learning what it is like to have 3 kids! Yes, Ayla and Ashlyn decided to color her with markers one day! Luckily, it was washable markers! We have had many moments like this since! I am out numbered now! Luckily, my Mom has been over almost every day to help me out. She has been taking Ayla to and from school for me. I have the best Mom!

I had to get a picture of this! It shows just how small he really is!

From the front, so cute!!!

Had to get one of Ayla too!

And of course Ashlyn!!

He loves his swing!

My brother, Robert and his family came over the Sunday after he was born.
My sister-in-law, Carolyn's first time holding him!

My brother, Robert's first time holding him!

And Lane's first time holding him!!
I love how each time that Lane has held my kids for the first time, he can't stop saying how cute they are!

Ashlyn's first time holding him!
It took her a few days before she held him for the first time but she loves him dearly! She always gives him kisses on his head. She squealed the first time she saw him! I got it on camera! It was so cute! She also gets very protective of him when people come over, she say's "My baby!"

And of course Ayla can't hold him enough!

My sister-in-law, Suz's first time holding him! She was over here on St. Patrick's Day!

A silly picture of him!

Ethan has also turned a month already!

This was taken that day, on April 4th!
He now weighs 11 lbs!
He is now 22 and a half inches long!

He is getting big already!
He is already in size 1 diapers!
He is becoming more alert!
He is starting grasp things with his hands!

I just love him to death! He is so cute!!

My sister, Marion got him this cute onesie. It says "I believe in monsters!"
My sister also bought me a onesie outfit that says "Mommy's little Monster!" That outfit is a 6 to 9 month size so he can't wear it yet. I have really been into the monster theme because I made him a rag quilt and one of the prints on the quilt is monsters! It is really cute! I need to take a picture of it and put it on here.

And a cute picture of Ashy I took that day!

Ethan is such a blessing in our home!

We love him dearly!
Even though it has been such an adjustment to having 3 kids, I am loving it!

And a special thanks, to my sister-in-law, Suz for watching Ashlyn while we had him. Also a big thanks for my Mother for helping me almost every day!
