Memory Land Road Street Avenue

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. EVERYBODY PLAY! I want to see what memories you have!!

I Love to spend time with family!

Yesterday was a fun day. My sister and mother came over and all us girls went out for the day. We went to Wendy's for lunch. Yum! Yum! I love Wendy's! After that we took off to the D.I. to find my sister a desk for her computer. It was funny because right when we reached the furniture there was a nice desk sitting right in front of us. Marion was pleased because it was only $15 and she found a file cabinet for $5. She had what she needed for only $20. I found a plant to go on top of our fridge for only $1. I was pleased because I have been wanting a plant on top of the fridge since we moved into our apartment. I love the D.I! From there we went grocery shopping for us Perrys. It is so much easier and fun to shop with my sister or mother. After that we went back to my apartment to meet my dad because he was bringing their van to pick up the desk and file cabinet. I was happy that I was going to see my dad that day too. Below are some pictures of that day. Enjoy!

I took this picture of Ayla while we were waiting for our food at Wendy's. Such a good girl!

Another picture I took of my mom and sister while we were waiting at Wendy's. Thanks for letting Ayla and I sit down. We love you!

I took this picture when my dad showed up. He immediately got down on the floor to play with his granddaughter. He loves her very much. I thought the picture was so adorable. I had to share.

I just love spending time with my family. I look forward every week when we go visit them while Kurt is in school. This Saturday we are going to Lagoon. Yay! I didn't get to go last year because I was pregnant.

Happy Birthday Mother Perry!

I wanted to wish my Mother-in-law Carol Anne Perry a Happy Birthday today! I wanted to list the 5 top reasons why I love her.

#5-She is always fun to plan events with like showers, weddings and Birthday parties, etc.

#4-She is so giving to others and to her family especially her grand children.

#3-She and her husband were so nice to let me and Kurt live with them for the first two years of our marriage and she was sad to see us go.

#2-I love to spend time with her. I cherish some of the conversations that we have had.

The #1 reason that I love her is because she loves being a mother to Kurt, to me and a grandmother to Ayla!

Happy Birthday! I love you! I hope your day is wonderful!

Ayla turned 5 months today!

Ayla turned 5 months today. She now weighs 13 lbs and is 24 1/2 inches long. She is getting so big. Today I put her other highchair together. This is the one that grandpa and grandma Wiechert got her for Christmas. I love it. It is so adorable. Ayla seemed to love it too. It is so fun. It is the Rainforest highchair and it is very colorful and has an awesome toy with it.

Ayla in her highchair sucking her two fingers!

Ayla loved the toy. She played with it all day!

This picture was a little blurry but I wanted to share it anyway because I thought it was so cute!

Ayla has officially started solids. This was taken back on the 9th of July. This was her first taste of cereal. She loved it.

Today we wanted to give Ayla carrots.

Ayla just waiting for her carrots. She just doesn't know it yet! :)

Daddy got to give her, her carrots. Yummy! She loved them.

The after math! There she goes sucking on her two fingers again.

It was a fun day! It almost felt like we celebrated Ayla's 5th month Birthday. She had fun today and was very happy. I love her so much!.

Our 24th of July!

We didn't do much on the 24th. I wanted to go to the parade and see the First Presidency of the church and our Stake's float but I didn't have anyone to go with and it was at 9 a.m. That is too early for me to get a baby ready with hardly any sleep. Plus I didn't want to take Ayla out in the sun so we didn't go. I was sad because I really wanted to see the First Presidency and the final product of our stake's float. :(
Grandma Perry took us out to Marie Callenders though. One of my favorite restaurants. That was good. Kurt also took care of Ayla the night before so I could get some rest. That was nice. I got 10 hours of needed sleep. We also watched " I am Legend" that day. Pretty good movie. We pretty much just rested that day. I did ponder a lot about the pioneers. I am so thankful for their sacrifices so that we could have this beautiful state. Thank you pioneers!

Pictures at Marie Callenders. Yummy!!!

I was so excited. I was driving past our church today and noticed the float in the parking lot so I still got to see the float. I took a picture to show how great of a job our stake did. Such an awesome float.

10 rooms / 10 favorites

My friend Ann made this tag up and It has been fun looking at other people's posts of this tag.
This is what she typed to introduce this tag:
"We all see all of the tag posts all of the time and I can honestly say that I don't mind them. I like to read about every body's likes and dislikes and etc. However, who comes up with these? Some are good and fun and then few are so bad...One of the last ones I filled out had the question where is your cell phone? I thought "who cares??" and maybe that's how most of you feel about "tag" posts in general.. But, I thought I would start a few tags myself.. ones that I thought would be fun to actually read and see. I decided to find 10 rooms in my house and post (1) favorite thing in each room."

Like my friend Leah said on her post I don't have 10 rooms in my home. I actually live in an apartment. We only have 5 rooms total, so like Leah, I chose 10 favorite things in my apartment.
Here goes:

This is a picture of our Marriage Certificate and hanging below is a picture of us on our wedding day. What a great day. I am so happily married. I love my husband and I am glad that I can have him for time and all eternity. If I live worthy of him. (I copied Leah on this one because I felt the same way she did.)

These are pictures of Ayla that I had taken for mother's day. What a great gift. The pictures on the far left are ones in her blessing gown that my grandma Marion made.

This is our bedding. I bought it from Shopko about two years ago. I love it because the flowers are made of ribbon and I think it is just beautiful.

Our apartment has these cute shelves. This one is Ayla's shelf and I love it because everything on it are gifts from people who love her. I still need to put pictures in the frame and I still need to go to my friend Ann's house and paint and decorate the letters. Another post another day.

This picture was taken in our bathroom. I love our bathroom because I did it in Americana. I love Americana stuff. God bless the U.S.A.!

This is a picture of a snowflake that Kurt made while we were dating. I could not believe how he cut out my name around the edge. Amazing and thoughtful that is why I frame it and it hangs in our hall way.

These are my Barbies. I love them because my grandma Marion made them for me. She goes to second hand stores, buys barbies, cleans them up,curls their hair and then crochets dresses for them. Guess what the one on the right is supposed to be?

I love this picture of "The Second Coming." It is a replica of the mural that is painted in the D.C. Temple. It now reminds me of my friend Leah because she was married in this temple. It needs a frame though. Later though. It is not in the budget right now.

This is our kitchen. I love it because the middle counter makes it easy for me to decorate cakes. I also love it because it is its own room. It is not connected to the living room like most apartments. When we get a house I will be wanting the middle counter. It is a must.

Last but not least this is a picture of a bookcase we have in the corner of our kitchen. I love my stoneware serving dishes. My sister got us those for Christmas this last year. My favorite thing though is the spice rack up in the left hand corner. This spice rack is over 50 years old. I know this because my mom's parents both died when she was 4 years old. My aunt Zora gave this spice rack to my mom and told her that her mother gave it to her a little time before she passed away. My mom then passed it onto me. I love and cherish it.

Well that is it folks! I hope you enjoyed it! Tag, your it!

Belated 4th of July post!

After reading other people's blogs. I finally decided to make my own but before I did there have been moments I would of loved to share about my family. As you can see I started my blog on July 17th. That was after the 4th of July and that was one of the days I wished I had a blog to share thoughts and pictures. So that is why this post is titled "Belated 4th of July post!"

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I love it because I love my country and on that day I spend a lot of time with my family. We usually go to the parade, then go swimming, have a BBQ and go to the park in the evening to ride rides and watch the fireworks. What a fun day! Last year we found out that we were pregnant with Ayla at the family BBQ. We were excited and scared at the same time. The family was jumping for Joy! So I feel that Ayla is my 4th of July baby. I love our country's flag and love to wear red, white and blue on this day. This year was extra fun because my sister and I went out and got a 4th of July outfit for Ayla. So Ayla was dressed for the occasion too. We went to the parade that day and then spent the rest of the day at my parents house. We didn't go swimming or to the park because Ayla was too young to wear sunscreen and she doesn't like loud noises so we didn't watch the fireworks. I thought they would scare her. Maybe next year. We still enjoyed our 4th of July. I just love how I feel that day and I am glad we honor our country and troops this day.

Below are some pictures of that day I would love to share. I took pictures of Ayla with everyone but I am only posting a few or it would take up the whole page.

Ayla in her stroller heading down to the parade.

Me, Ayla and Aunt Ruth watching the parade form her porch.

Ayla and her dad ready for church. This was taken the Sunday after the 4th of July. I just wanted to share this one because I thought it was adorable.

D.I. find!

I went to the D.I. today to look for a stand for our scanner that we will be getting. I could not find what I was looking for but I found a lot of things I wanted. I passed up a lot of it because we don't have a house yet. There was an adorable desk for $20 that I loved. I did get one thing.

This adorable high chair. I just kept going back to it and I could not pass it up. It was only $4. I thought that it was a steel. Ayla is too small for it yet but it wont take long for her to fill it. It will be used with all of the kids we have. Plus right now our niece Morganne (who is 2) will have a chair to sit in at the table or the counter. I love it!

Look at how cute it looks at our table. It fits right in. I love our table. We got it at the Salvation Army store for $50. I thought that was a steel too.

I had a lot of fun there and on my way home I drove by a yard sale. Stop and looked from the car but I needed to get home to my little Sweet Pea. My friend Ann always blogs about finds that she gets at second hand stores and always invites people to come along with her. So if you want to go. I am game.

I have a blog now! Yay!

I have a few friends now that have blogs and I finally broke down and made one myself. My sweet friend Ann has one and said, "It is a great way to keep in touch with people. When I get one of your comments it is like I have talked to you that day." I didn't look at it that way but I do now! I am excited to do this. There have been moments with Ayla that I would like to share with people. So I would just email pictures of her but now I can kind of have a journal online with our family and keep in touch with friends close and far. Please be patient with me because I am new at this and my grammar and spelling are not the best. I am not an English major but who cares I think this is going to be fun! I hope to hear from you soon! :)
