Watch Ayla grow! #2

Ayla has turned 9 months today! Where is the time going?
She is still 18lbs but she did grow an inch and she is 28 1/2 inches long. Should I be worried?
Anyway, below are pictures from 5 months until today. I am going to list some of her accomplishments with the pictures.

Ayla at 5 months.

During this month she started her solids and she started to sit up on her own. We would put her boppy behind her so she wouldn't fall back. And she started to yelling, "La, La, La!" all the time.

Ayla at 6 months

She still was perfecting sitting up, so the boppy is still there and she started to say, "Ba, Ba, Ba!"

Ayla at 7 months

She cut her first two teeth. She had perfected sitting up and said her first word, "Dada." She also started to sit in shopping carts and high-chairs because she could sit up on her own.

Ayla at 8 months

She started to say other words like, "Mama and Dog." She started to crawl and has gotten it down in the last few weeks. She has learned to crawl, stop and sit up and start crawling again. She is also starting to pull herself up onto her knees. She has also started to point at her books while I read them to her. Plus she has definitely learned the concept of "peek-a-boo." She will hold up material and hide her face and then pull it down after you say, "Where is Ayla?" Then she will pull the material back up after you say, "There she is!" It is so adorable. She has also started to make messes. Her favorite so far to do is, pull the diapers out of the diaper box and spread them all over the floor. The fun Begins!!!

This was taken today. She was just scanning the hall to try and find something she could get into. If you click on the picture, you can see her teeth.

My she has grown! I love you Ayla!!

Twilight night out!!!

I had so much fun on Friday because I had a "Twilight" night out. My friend Ann had been planning this night for months. Thank you for such a fun night.

She had asked me to do a "Twilight" cake and I was so excited to do it. It was a lot of fun to make and I think it turned out awesome. I loved that the fake blood down the sides turned out. I thought the cake looked beautiful. People had a hard time wanting to eat it because they didn't want to destroy it, so I had to cut it.

Before the movie, we all went to Red Robin and had some yummy food.

After we ate, we walked crossed the way to Rocky Mountain Chocolates to get some Carmel apples. I had never tried them before and I had their best seller, "apple pie." it was delicious.

On the way over to Rocky Mountain Chocolate, we passed this truck and I was like, "Look it is Bella's truck!" So I had to get a picture with it. We thought it was just someone's truck just parked there but when we went into Rocky Mountain the girls behind the counter told us that all the cars were somewhere around. They asked where the truck was and we told them, just right outside. I then showed the girl behind the counter this picture and she freaked and all the girls working there ran out of the store to go look at it. They left the guy working there inside by himself for a little while. I thought it was funny.

After, we found out it was not just someone's random truck. We all piled in it for a picture and one of the girls from Rocky Mountain took the picture.

They had a lot of replicas of the cars in the movie there. It was fun to see the different character's cars. Too fun!!

This is Edward's Volvo.
I wished I had someone to take my picture with it but everyone was gone at the moment when I took this picture. Oh well, I still wanted a picture.

This is Ann and me with Carlisle Cullen's car.

Monica, Ann, me and Heather with Emmett's jeep.

All of us waiting to see the movie.

I loved the movie. I think they did a great job. I went in there with no expectations because I always know the book is always going to be better than the movie. I thought they did better than what I would have thought. It left me wanting to read the books again. I think I enjoyed it so much because I love the books and it was fun to see it brought to life. I think that if you haven't read the books, you might not like the movie. But you never know. I just loved how believable the love between Edward and Bella was in the movie. You could feel the chemistry between the actors.

I can't wait for "New Moon!" I heard from my friend Tierra that because "Twilight" did so well over the weekend they decided to go ahead with "New Moon."

After the movie we headed to Anns for a "Twilight" party.

Here is a picture of all the food.

Monica and me.
It almost looks like we are wearing the same shirt.

Kris, Cindy, Lyndsey and Katie were just a few of the women at the party. There was about 20 of us all together at the party. We had a lot of fun!!

Edward joined us too! LOL!

Ann's sisters took this Jordan Knight doll and transformed him into Edward. You can't really tell in the picture but there is glitter all over him and his hair has been colored. They gave him fangs even though Edward doesn't really have fangs. They just thought it added to the vampire thing. LOL!!

And of course I had to get a picture of Edward with the cake! LOL!

The party went well into the night and some of us spent the night, including me. We had stayed up until 3 in the morning and by the time I feel asleep, I am sure it was 4. It was such a fun night out. I just want to thank Ann one more time for such a fun night!!! :)

Tennessee post #3

Well, here goes my last and final post on our trip to Tennessee! :(

Friday we hung out during the day but in the evening we went to Leah's parents house to have a breakfast dinner. It was so nice to visit  with Leah's family and eat dinner with them. The breakfast was great.  I loved the potatoes we had and I had grits for my first time. I had only heard of grits and that was from the movie "My cousin Vinny." I think grits are a Southern thing. I have never seen them here or at least I haven't looked for them.

Ashlee with Ayla

Ashlee really liked Ayla she was always trying to play with her every time we saw them. Now Ashlee is Leah's sister Corinda's daughter, like I have mentioned in an earlier post.

This is Leah's dad holding Ayla and Corinda's other daughter Capri.

And this is Leah's mom with Ayla and Capri.

Leah's sister Corinda had a saucer too that Ayla loved playing in.

Saturday, we didn't do much so I didn't take too many pictures that day but I didn't care if we did anything because I was there to visit. Evan and Leah wanted to take us to Carter's fold but I decided we should just hang out. I would have liked to go but I didn't want to spend money. It was only $5 but I guess I was just being cheap. Besides, the best things in life are free and I got to relax that evening with Leah and Evan. We watched "The Work and the Glory part II." I enjoyed the movie and want to watch the 3rd one. One of these days. Oh, and Leah took me to their local braft store called "Ben Franklin's craft store." It was a lot of fun there and they had a lot of cute stuff.

Here is a picture of Noah and Ayla that day. Leah and Evan gave Ayla one of the Tennessee onesies that Noah grew out of for a souvenir. So I put Ayla in hers that day, so that they both could sport the Tennessee team.

Sunday was such a nice day. We went to church in the morning, which is always good. After church, we had a lot of visitors because we were leaving the following day.

Leah's parents came during the day.

Here is what Noah wore to church. Isn't he so cute? Don't you love his hair?

One final picture of Evan and Leah with the kiddos.

That evening Evan's brother came over and brought his guitar. He was very good at it and had an awesome voice that went along with it.

Ayla was fascinated with the guitar and Evan helped her strum the strings a couple times.

Leah's sister Natosha and her daughter Kenley came too. I was so happy to see them one last time too.

Ayla and Noah hanging out on their last night together. The cute thing is that Ayla sat like this on her own.

Here is the front view.
Leah and I were joking that it was their engagement pictures. LOL!!

Tierra came too.

This is A. he is Leah's and Evan's friend's son. So Ayla had 2 babies to play with. She was in heaven.

Here is a picture of the 3 of us. I think it turned out cute.

One last picture with Noah.

Monday, Corinda and her girls came over for one more final good bye. It was so nice to see them one last time.

Here they are with Ayla.

Shortly after they left, we went to Leah's work to say one final goodbye to her and then it was off to the airport. Ayla didn't do as well on the planes as she did when we went there but she still did really well. She only cried a couple of times. I am so proud of her.

Tennessee post #2

Well here goes part 2 of the Tennessee trip.

Wednesday, Leah had to go back to work and I was going to watch Noah during the day but shortly after she left, Noah was upset because he had gotten sick the night before. I became the "evil one" because I had to keep wiping his nose and then he would cry harder and then his nose would run even more. So between not knowing me and being sick, the poor guy was really upset. I could usually handle a crying kid but I felt so bad for him. I wanted him to have the comfort he needed while being sick, so I called Leah. She then called her sister C. and she came over and he settle right down. Shortly after that, Evan came home and I thought "OH NO SHE CALLED EVAN TO COME HOME!" I was feeling pretty bad but when Evan got in the house, it turned out he was sick from some pizza he had eaten at work, so he came home. It worked out so well. I was sorry that Evan had gotten sick but it was good he was home for the next couple of days to be there for his sweet boy.

This was taken a minute before Leah left. He was such a happy boy. Isn't he so cute?

Ayla got to play in Noah's saucer that day. She had a lot of fun in it.

Tierra came over that day to visit us. We had a lot of fun with her.

That evening Leah put Noah in an outfit that her sister, Corinda bought him. I was excited because she had bought Ayla the same one but in girl colors. So I went and put Ayla in hers so that we could get pictures of them matching. It was so cute.

Here is Noah in his.

And here is Ayla in hers.

She had a lot of fun with Even. He kept getting down on the floor like this to play with her.

Here is a picture of them together.

Another picture of them together.

Tierra, I stole this off of your blog because my picture of this did not turn out. Yours has a lot more color than all of my photos. We have had our camera for a while now and I think it is time to get a new one that will take better pictures.

Aren't they cute playing together?

Tierra and I hanging out in the kitchen while Leah cooked some yummy eggrolls. I am so impressed at how Leah has become such a good chef. Thanks for all the yummy food! :)

I had to take a picture of Tierra in her cute new coat she got for her birthday. I took this right before she left.

Ann, I took this for you so you could see how cute she looks in it. Sorry the picture is a little blurry but none of the ones I took of her in it turned out very clear. This was the best one.

After Tierra left, Leah and I headed to the store again and left the kiddos with Evan. Below are some adorable pictures he took with my camera. Thank you Even.

Both just chilling in Noah's crib.

Thursday we hung out at home during the day and in the evening we went to go antique shopping and to go to dinner.

Here is a picture of Evan driving us there. I took this picture to show how different the streets look there in Tennessee. They are all so small and don't have sidewalks in the residential parts. They look like drive ways.

We got to the antique shops and I was so hungry. I wanted to eat first so we went to Chedders, a restaurant out there. It is one of Leah's favorites. Buy the time we got back to the shops they were closed but that was okay. I still just enjoyed going to dinner with them.

Evan with Ayla as we were waiting to be seated.

The whole Wampler fam plus Ayla waiting to order.

And of course, a close up of my little cutie. I am such a proud mom.

By the way, Leah and Evan and I drove past the restaurant my sister thought was Chedders and it was Chadders. So I don't get to order that yummy hamburger I had. :(
