Well, here goes my last and final post on our trip to Tennessee! :(
Friday we hung out during the day but in the evening we went to Leah's parents house to have a breakfast dinner. It was so nice to visit with Leah's family and eat dinner with them. The breakfast was great. I loved the potatoes we had and I had grits for my first time. I had only heard of grits and that was from the movie "My cousin Vinny." I think grits are a Southern thing. I have never seen them here or at least I haven't looked for them.
Ashlee with Ayla.
Ashlee really liked Ayla she was always trying to play with her every time we saw them. Now Ashlee is Leah's sister Corinda's daughter, like I have mentioned in an earlier post.
This is Leah's dad holding Ayla and Corinda's other daughter Capri.
And this is Leah's mom with Ayla and Capri.
Leah's sister Corinda had a saucer too that Ayla loved playing in.
Saturday, we didn't do much so I didn't take too many pictures that day but I didn't care if we did anything because I was there to visit. Evan and Leah wanted to take us to Carter's fold but I decided we should just hang out. I would have liked to go but I didn't want to spend money. It was only $5 but I guess I was just being cheap. Besides, the best things in life are free and I got to relax that evening with Leah and Evan. We watched "The Work and the Glory part II." I enjoyed the movie and want to watch the 3rd one. One of these days. Oh, and Leah took me to their local braft store called "Ben Franklin's craft store." It was a lot of fun there and they had a lot of cute stuff.
Here is a picture of Noah and Ayla that day. Leah and Evan gave Ayla one of the Tennessee onesies that Noah grew out of for a souvenir. So I put Ayla in hers that day, so that they both could sport the Tennessee team.
Sunday was such a nice day. We went to church in the morning, which is always good. After church, we had a lot of visitors because we were leaving the following day.
Leah's parents came during the day.
Here is what Noah wore to church. Isn't he so cute? Don't you love his hair?
One final picture of Evan and Leah with the kiddos.
That evening Evan's brother came over and brought his guitar. He was very good at it and had an awesome voice that went along with it.
Ayla was fascinated with the guitar and Evan helped her strum the strings a couple times.
Leah's sister Natosha and her daughter Kenley came too. I was so happy to see them one last time too.
Ayla and Noah hanging out on their last night together. The cute thing is that Ayla sat like this on her own.
Here is the front view.
Leah and I were joking that it was their engagement pictures. LOL!!
Tierra came too.
This is A. he is Leah's and Evan's friend's son. So Ayla had 2 babies to play with. She was in heaven.
Here is a picture of the 3 of us. I think it turned out cute.
One last picture with Noah.
Monday, Corinda and her girls came over for one more final good bye. It was so nice to see them one last time.
Here they are with Ayla.
Shortly after they left, we went to Leah's work to say one final goodbye to her and then it was off to the airport. Ayla didn't do as well on the planes as she did when we went there but she still did really well. She only cried a couple of times. I am so proud of her.
