Okay, so the last time I posted, I mentioned that Ayla and I might go to the Zoo with Kurt's side of the family. Well, we did. I know that the last post was about the zoo but we haven't done anything much this week because Ayla has been sick. We found out today that she has strep. She started to get sick on Tuesday evening. She is doing better and she will do even better now that we know what is wrong.
Anyway, I wanted to share some pictures of the day at the zoo.
The girls: Ayla, Morganne and Brooke.
Brooke being silly with Ayla on the elephant statue's nose.
I find this picture a little unnerving.
The leopard looks like he wants Ayla for dinner. She really liked this leopard. She kept following it as it would walk from window to window.
If you click on the picture, you can see the baby tiger. Soo cute!
Ayla looking at the tigers.
Ayla really liked the lynx this time.
Go lynx!
Brooke took this picture.
I am laughing because Brooke said, "Don't move a muscle... unless you have to breath."
Okay, I know on the last post, I showed the cute little baby giraffe but I couldn't help but show him again. He is so adorable.
This picture kind of shows how small he is.
Adorable.
Even more adorable!
Cute Brooke!
Here is grandma with all the grand kids at the carousel.
All of us on the carousel.
Kurt and Morganne and kind of me.
And of course Ayla.
I love this picture of Ayla and Morganne.
We rode the carousel 3 times.
The last time, Ayla cried when she had to get off.
So funny. She had ridden it with her dad the first time when she went with him. She also rode it on the Tuesday before this time and she didn't care for it. I guess after riding it for a total of 5 times she has really come to love it.
Grandma Perry bought all the kids a stuffed animal and a silly hat.
Morganne wanted to help. Such a good little helper.
Darling Kurt with Ayla.
We had to ride the train too.
You can see the silly hats that Grandma Perry bought. Morganne is wearing it in this picture.
We had a great time at the zoo! After that we went to Sizzler for lunch. Grandma Perry treated us.
Had to share this picture of Ayla and Kurt at Sizzler. Ayla loves Kurt. She always wants his attention. You can see her trying to get his attention in this picture.
What a wonderful day that was. And a special thanks to my mother-in-law for making it happen. I am glad Ayla and I didn't miss it.

Hope Ayla is feeling better!
It looks like you had fun both times. We've been tossing around the idea of bringing the kids up to the zoo on Monday, but I know it will be a busy day there?!?!? The darling pictures of the baby animals almost has me convinced that it's a good idea though.
I'm sorry Ayla had been sick, that's no fun...for either of you!
We should have gone to the zoo while we were in Utah. =( I am hanging my head and am very sad.
Way cute pictures. I love the one where the Tiger is looking at Ayla. It has to be her RED hair. I bet he was thinking LUNCH. =) thank goodness for thick glass hun.
The baby animals are so sweet...I love them. I think we will go to the zoo next weekend. =) You've talked me into it. I just dread the 2 hour drive...but I think it will be worth it.
I hope Ayla starts feeling better.
