Yesterday was a fun day for Ayla. She had a lot of firsts.
When we were on our way to Aunt Marion's house, we stopped at the dollar store. I bought Ayla this doll for $3. It is her first baby doll. I showed it to her in the store and she lit up. She loves to look at other babies and other kids. I have shown her a doll before and she got excited just like when she saw this doll. She started to giggle and kick her feet around, so I had to buy it for her. I read in a magazine that they did a study on how girls and boys learn. Girls actually prefer a doll to a toy car and vice versa for a boy. Even though a doll and a toy car could be a stereotype toy for girls and boys. I though it was interesting and Ayla really seems to like dolls. She doesn't act the same way to her other toys. She is already a mother at heart, which I believe that all us women are. It is our natural way of life.
Happy girl with her happy baby doll.
She loves her Aunt Marion and Aunt Marion got to feed her bananas yesterday.
Ayla on a rocking horse for her first time.
She is too cute!
My sister's boyfriend, Monty and his dad have a farm and Ayla got to go down there for her first time.
This is Ayla's first time seeing a horse. She was not scared at all. She reached out to touch it right away. Her first time touching a horse.
This is Marion's horse, "Daisy." Ayla got to be close up to this one.
What is she looking at?
Sheep. She got to see sheep for her first time. Can you tell which sheep is the "black sheep" of the family? Hee, Hee!
I was a little scared for this one but I knew that Monty grew up with this farm and knows the dangers. So they talked me into letting her sit on a horse. Yes, Ayla's first time on a horse. It was not so bad. Monty did a great job holding on to her and talking to her. She seemed to like it.
I also felt good that the horse was in its stall and eating.
"What is this thing?"
After the farm we went to my parent's house and had a nice roast dinner. I love to spend time with my family.
After the long day, I gave Ayla her bath and put her in her PJ's. I thought they were so cute on her. I had to take a picture. My mom bought these PJ's for a dollar at the dollar store. I love dollar stores. They are what I can afford and I can find some great stuff there too.
What a fun day for Ayla!
