Cake, Cake, Cake!

People have asked me to post some of my cakes, so I am finally posting some of my favorites that I have made.

I thought to post the pumpkin one first, due to the fact it is October. This was my sister Marion's cake two years ago. Her birthday is not on Halloween but I love that it is in the month of October. I have a lot of fun doing her cakes. This cake was made with two bunt cake pans with an ice cream cone for the stem.

This was my nephew Lane's birthday cake two years ago. He loves Ghostbusters. I love the marshmallow man. I made it out of real marshmallows.

I made this one for one of Marion's coworkers, for her baby shower. I thought it turned out cute. The dinosaur was made out of two cakes that were baked in 8" pans.

I didn't get a great picture of this one but I think the turkey was cute. I made this one for last Thanksgiving.

This one I made about two months ago. This was for Marion's boyfriend Monty's sister-in-law. She loves animal print, so Marion asked me to do zebra print.

This one was my friend Tonya's Grandparents anniversary cake. It was their 65th, I think. Good for them. I like this cake so much, I made one just like it for Ayla's blessing day. Except that the flowers were pink instead of blue. I thought I would show one of the many flower cakes I have made.

This was the first wedding cake I made. It was for my sister-in-law Krista's step son's wedding. I thought it turned out nice.

This one is my favorite wedding cake that I have made so far. This was my cousin Harriett's wedding cake. She was married in October two years ago, that is why the flowers are fall colors.

I felt that it was appropriate to post some of my cakes due to the fact that I am going to be making my friend Amy Isolampi's wedding cake next week. It will be a fondant cake and I will post about it. I have made two fondant wedding cakes prior to this one. They turned out okay. They weren't bad. I just think fondant is very plane but most people like it. I think Amy's is going to be cute with the ribbons and large daisies on the cake. Her colors are two shades of pink and a brown. I love pink and brown together. Wish me luck!
